Rassense's leadership, a team of cross-industry experts, is the cornerstone of its success as the first Indian food service company with a pan-India presence. Their diverse skills and innovative approach have positioned Rassense at the pinnacle of the industry, blending culinary art with strategic excellence to redefine dining across the nation.
MD and Promoter CEO
Sanjay Kumar
Sanjay Kumar started his career with Marico and then was with Eureka Forbes before joining Shell where he spent over 18 years in different roles across India and the rest of the world. He was then selected as the CEO of Altran Technologies in India, part of the world’s largest engineering consulting firm. During his tenure there he grew the business to over 2600 engineers in 5 years while turning around the then loss making entity into one of the most profitable in the Altran Group. Following this success, Sanjay conceptualised and led the entry of Elior Group into India. Sanjay then moved on to start his entrepreneurial journey to promote Gamestacy Private Limited in the mobile gaming space by drawing on his technology experience in Altran and his professional entrepreneur journey in Elior. Gamestacy went on to be selected as one of the 30 companies globally to be in the Google Accelerator Program however, despite these achievements, the venture failed.
Undeterred by this failure, Sanjay launched his next venture, Rassense Private Limited, in the food service space and undertook a LBO of CRCL LLP through a cash cum equity deal with funding from Spark Capital AIF. Rassense Private Limited has now divested ownership interest in its executive committee and emerged as India’s largest food service company.

DRE Reddy, Board Mentor at Rassense, has had a commendable career, starting out as a professional in L&T and then going on to become an entrepreneur by partnering with the founder, Mr. C. Ramachandran, founder of CRCL LLP.
Mr. Reddy is Graduate from IHM, Chennai, followed by a PG in Personnel and Industrial Relations, holds a degree in hotel management, and embodies innovation and quality leadership in India’s hospitality sector.

Swarna Rajamani
Swarna Rajamani, Board Member and EVP Central Functions at Rassense has over 19 years of experience. She started her career with RR Donnelley before moving to Foster Wheeler and then to Lornamead. Swarna then joined Shell where she spent over 8 years in different roles. She then joined CRCL in 2019 and was instrumental in working with various advisors and stakeholders to create Rassense Private Limited in this cash-cum-equity deal. Swarna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras and has completed an Executive Education Programme in Finance from IIT-Delhi. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, underscoring her commitment to operational excellence.

Ramkumar, currently EVP Operations (South) brings over 25 years of experience in running method oriented operations in Industrial and Corporate Catering. With his extensive experience in managing large-scale operations and growth strategies, Ramkumar ensures that our day-to-day operations are in line with the Company’s vision, core values, and strategies for delivering a promising brand. His previous stints were with Maxx Hospitalities, Vassi Hospitality, UAE, Sodexo and ISS Facility Services. Ramkumar is a qualified professional in Catering from IHM Chennai.

Jayanarayanan Ramachandran
Jayanarayanan Ramachandran, EVP Education and Central Kitchen, brings over 7 years of specialised expertise in operations and service quality, with a notable focus on managing educational campuses. He was instrumental in successfully establishing the retail outlet model at VIT Vellore, which led to the management of VIT also granting the businesses of their new campuses in Chennai, Amaravathi, and Bhopal. Jayan has been actively involved in the business since 2012 and has mobilised various key clients, including the Central Kitchen at Sriperumbudur and Tada. He is a qualified catering professional with an MBA from Scotland.

Rahul Sharma
Rahul Sharma, the Vice President Client Solutions – West, brings over 16 years of expertise in client solutions and business development within the industrial and corporate food services sectors. His diverse experience includes working with both Indian management companies and multinational companies. Previously, he has worked with Tirumala Hospitality, ISS Facility Services, Compass Group, and ISG Hospitality Services. Rahul’s deep industry knowledge has been pivotal in establishing Rassense’s presence in the Western and Northern regions of India. He holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications.
